On January 19th, 2023, the CUD-ENM received the visit of the Commander in Chief of the Chilean Navy, H.E. Admiral Juan Andrés de la Maza Larraín, accompanied by the Admiral Director of Naval Education, H.E. CA. Ignacio Paz García, by the Chilean Naval Attaché in Spain, H.E. Mr. CN. René Valenzuela Azócar, and by the Commander-Director of the Spanish Naval Academy, H.E. Mr. CN. D. Pedro Cardona Suanzes. Admiral de la Maza, who previously visited different facilities of the ENM, took advantage of the occasion to sign in the honor book of the CUD-ENM and meet with the Center’s management team.
The Director of the CUD-ENM, Dr. José Martín Davila, gave a presentation summarizing the main characteristics of the Center, as well as the most outstanding academic and research activities carried out there, which was followed by a period of time for questions. In this way, the Admiral was able to know first hand the main details of the operation of the Center.
