On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, students from the 9th Course on ICT Management and Information Security, currently enrolled in the seventh edition of the Master’s Degree in ICT Management for Defense (DIRETIC Master’s Program), visited the facilities of Alén Space. They were accompanied by CUD-ENM faculty members Mr. José María Núñez Ortuño and Ms. Isabel Expósito Pérez.
Alén Space is a Galician company specializing in the development of space solutions based on small satellites, with a strong focus on the design, manufacture, and operation of space missions. From its facilities in Nigrán, it drives innovative projects related to telecommunications, Earth observation, and the development of advanced space technologies.
Upon their arrival at the Alén Space facilities, the students and professors were welcomed by Mr. Antón Vázquez, Head of Business Development; Ms. Isolina Pérez, Sales Director; and Ms. Marta Alonso, from Marketing and Communications, who led the tour and provided attendees with a detailed overview of the company’s operations.

The event began with an introductory talk that covered the origins of Alén Space, its evolution within the aerospace sector, and the main projects in which it is currently involved.

Following the presentation, attendees took a guided tour of the company’s different work areas. First, they visited the electronics laboratory, where electronic systems for space missions are integrated and tested. Afterward, they went to the operations area, from which various tasks related to satellites and ongoing projects are monitored and managed.

Finally, the students had the opportunity to tour the clean room, a facility specially equipped for the assembly and integration of space components under strict environmental control conditions. This visit helped them understand the importance of the quality and safety procedures required in the aerospace sector.
The event proved to be of great interest to the attendees, who were able to gain firsthand insight into the operations of a leading technology company in Galicia and learn more about the technologies and processes that make the development of space projects possible.
