On Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, the students of the VII Course of Management and Direction of STIC and Information Security, who are taking the fifth edition of the Master’s Degree in ICT Management for Defense (Master DIRETIC) visited the facilities of the company Marine Instruments accompanied by CUD-ENM professors Mr. José Coma, Mr. Jorge Feijoo and Ms. Leticia Pérez.
The company, located in the Porto do Molle Business Park in Nigrán, which belongs to the Arbulu Group and was created in 2003, specializes in marine electronics and satellite communications. It is dedicated to the development and manufacture of electronic equipment adapted to the marine environment and focused on the promotion of intelligent oceans and sustainable fishing, with presence in more than 30 countries.
Upon arrival at the Center, students and professors were welcomed by Mrs. Míriam Ramos Rodríguez, head of the marketing department, who gave a general presentation of the company. Afterwards, the attendees were divided into small groups and accompanied on guided tours of the most representative departments of the company, where they had the opportunity to learn about the operation of the main products built and marketed, such as: satellite buoys, the solar UAV called Airfox, which was acquired and adapted by the Navy for maritime surveillance and security tasks, and an intelligent power supply system equipped with an acoustic detection probe known as Marine Acoustic Smart System, intended for the aquaculture sector.
After a tour of the different areas of the 2 warehouses of the company, the visit ended with the exchange of gifts by both parties.
