Students of the DIRETIC Master of CUD-ENM visit the facilities of CRTVG

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, a group of students and professors of the Master’s Degree in ICT Management for Defense (DIRETIC), taught by the Defense University Center (CUD-ENM), made a professional visit to the facilities of the Galician Radio and Television Corporation (CRTVG).

The visit, guided by Mr. Jesús Manuel García Gude, Telecommunications Engineer and Technical and Systems Director in the Technological and Media Support Area of CRTVG, was accompanied by Ms. Marta Fernández Sánchez, Head of the Corporate Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility Service of CRTVG.

During the tour, students were able to observe the organization and collaborative tools used in the newsroom, visit the sets and production studios, with detailed explanations of the technical roles, camera equipment, lighting, video and audio mixers, and screen management. They also visited the Data Processing Center (DPC) and its virtualization, storage and signal switching infrastructure, and discovered the automated broadcast control systems and live channel management. Finally, they visited Radio Galega’s multimedia studio and its advanced equipment for program production and composition, where a live program was being produced.

For the DIRETIC Master students, this experience has represented an added value in their training, since they have been able to contrast and apply some advanced concepts learned in the classroom, such as critical infrastructure management, process automation, broadcast systems and real-time communication, with practical and current examples of a leading audiovisual organization. In addition, the visit facilitated the understanding of the synergies between technology and institutional communication management, fundamental aspects for their future responsibilities in CIS/ICT environments of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior.
