On July 21, 2026, at the Officers’ Residence of the Spanish Naval Academy, a farewell ceremony was held for professors Jesús del Val García and Juan Jesús Rico Fuentes, who served at the Defense University Center at the Spanish Naval Academy (CUD-ENM) for different periods of time. Professor Rico Fuentes is departing after just over six months at the center, while Professor del Val García concludes nearly six years of service as a faculty member at the CUD-ENM.
The two professors taught different subjects in the mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree program and were also involved in research activities, in proportion to their length of service at the institution. Both consistently stood out for their professionalism and commitment, leaving an excellent impression thanks to their dedication and expertise. The staff and management team at CUD-ENM would like to express their gratitude for their service and extend their best wishes for success as they embark on the next stage of their professional careers.
