Infrastructure and equipment

The research laboratories building of the Defence University Centre, which opened in November 2018, provides the institution with the necessary facility for the development of research tasks inherent to university activity.

The space and equipment of the different laboratories, the meeting rooms, and the multi-purpose room constitute an overall that must serve the teaching and research staff, as well as supporting the academic tasks that it requires.

Currently, the research building houses the following specific laboratories:

  • Radar and Communications Laboratory (in charge: José María Núñez Ortuño)
  • Chemistry Laboratory (in charge: Rosa Devesa Rey)
  • Mechanics and Energy Laboratory (in charge: Miguel Ángel Álvarez Feijoo)
  • Design Laboratory (in charge: Carlos Pérez Collazo)
  • Robotics, Mechatronics and Automatics Laboratory (in charge: Francisco Troncoso Pastoriza)
  • Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (in charge: Xavier Núñez Nieto)

The equipment catalogue is intended to show the reader the research support capabilities that the Centre has at its disposal, grouped by location and also by field of application.
