Since 2014, the CUD-ENM has had a collaboration agreement with the Fulbright Commission (whose objective is to encourage and promote academic exchange between the USA and Spain) to have an American professor with experience in teaching subjects taught during the first semester of one of the last courses of the degree in mechanical engineering.
Teaching is taught in English, allowing the undergraduate students to improve their English language skills.
To date, the following stays of visiting professors from the United States have taken place (in each case a brief summary of the main activities carried out during the stay is linked):
In 2014 Dr. Asghar Bhatti, gave classes in the courses of Elasticity and advanced materials strength (third academic year) and Theory of structures and industrial constructions (fourth academic year).
In 2016 Dra. Claudia Luhrs, taught Materials Engineering (third course) and some Materials Science and Technology lab practicals (second academic year).
In 2017 Dr. James Yang, taught Elasticity and advanced materials strength (third academic year) and Automobiles (fifth academic year).
In 2019 Dr. William Northrop taught Advanced Thermodynamics (fourth academic year).
